Jenny tailors her teaching to the individual needs of each pupil.

Jenny Dyson is a professional flautist based in Manchester with over ten years of teaching experience. A highly sought teacher, her approach is founded on developing the student’s musicianship, facility and control of the instrument as well as building a student’s confidence in performance. She teaches at her home and online on Zoom.

Jenny tailors her teaching to the individual needs of each pupil as well as taking time outside of lessons to plan and prepare. She recommends appropriate ensembles, courses and concerts for them to attend, and organises a pupil concert at the end of each term.

Jenny performs recitals across the UK and works with orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata and Northern Sinfonia. Alongside her performing career, Jenny is a woodwind tutor for national orchestral youth ensembles and is invited to give lessons and masterclasses in music hubs across the UK.

Jenny offers private lessons to students at all levels and all ages.

“My daughter, Arwen, has been attending lessons with Jenny for six months now. In that time Arwen's flute playing has progressed beyond all recognition. Jenny has a real enthusiasm for music and that is transferred to her students. I rarely have to prompt Arwen to practice and when it's lesson time I've never had to tell Arwen twice to get her flute and music books ready. We are lucky to have such a talented teacher.”
